Samara Weaving has faced the demonic forces of Ash vs. Evil Dead, she has battled her way through a building full of office workers infected with a rage virus in MAYHEM, and she took a villainous turn in THE BABYSITTER. Next month, she'll be gracing the horror genre with her presence again in READY OR NOT, which is coming to us from the filmmaking team known as Radio Silence, and with the film's release coming up quick a batch of images from it have arrived online.
Directed by Radio Silence members Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, READY OR NOT stars Weaving as
a young woman who is invited on the night of her wedding by her new husband’s rich, eccentric family to participate in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
Weaving is joined in the cast by Adam Brody, Mark O'Brien, Elyse Levesque, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell.
Originally announced for an August 23rd release date, READY OR NOT has now shifted forward two days and will be reaching theatres on August 21st.
The movie looks like a good time to me, and after seeing the other projects mentioned above I'm on board to watch any movie Samara Weaving shows up in, especially if it's in the horror or thriller genres.
READY OR NOT was produced by Bradley J. Fischer, Willem Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Tripp Vinson. Tara Farney, Tracey Nyberg, Daniel Bekerman, and Radio Silence's Chad Villella served as executive producers.
