Star Wars fans can be heard in a galaxy far away in this Episode IX reaction

During this afternoon's big Star Wars Celebration panel, fans of the beloved space saga were overcome with joy as Disney and Lucasfilm unleashed one detail after another about J.J. Abrams' upcoming final chapter of the Skywalker Saga – which is now aptly titled STAR WARS: EPISODE IX – THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. Many of the film's stars and contributors were in attendance and eager to share several exciting elements related to the new film. During the panel, fans of the franchise got a series of first-looks at their favorite characters as they'll appear in the new movie, in addition to glimpses of new environments and vehicles set to join the Star Wars canon.

Our own Editor-in-Chief Paul Shirey was in attendance during the big show, and while there, was able to catch the fevered crowd reaction to the film's first teaser trailer. Naturally, there was lots of applause and carrying on, particularly at the end when everyone heard the familiar laugh of Ian McDarmid's Emperor Palpatine.

Following the premiere of the trailer, it was said that the stock for Depends-brand Adult Diapers skyrocketed, as fans flocked to Amazon to purchase "supplies" for the film's December 20, 2019 release. I'm just kidding. In actuality, Marvel fans have already cleared the company's stock, as they prepare for the release of AVENGERS: ENDGAME. I'm kidding again. I'm sorry, I just can't resist. When I hear the roar of Star Wars fans after a trailer drop like this, I simply can't imagine a majority of them exiting the venue with clean underwear.
