Joseph Gordon-Levitt to emcee for Comedy Central’s roast of Bruce Willis

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Welcome to the party pal! It's been announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will serve as roast master for the "Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis.”

In talking about the opportunity to put the screws to one of his idols, Gordon-Levitt said “I’ve looked up to Bruce my whole life. I was genuinely honored to work alongside him and, in essence, PLAY him when we made ‘Looper’ together,” said the INCEPTION DON JUAN actor. “He has treated me with absolutely nothing but warmth and kindness. And so I look forward to mercilessly making fun of him on TV.”

The event will be recorded on July 14th at the Hollywood Palladium, and will hit Comdey Central airwaves on the evening of July 29th. Executive producing the show ill be Joel Gallen of Tenth Planet, who in the past has executive produced and directed the roasts of Rob Lowe, Justin Bieber, James Franco, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump, and William Shatner. A list of guests ready and willing to drag Willis over the coals has yet to be announced, though like many of the network's previous celebrations, the roster will no doubt include a who's who of the bald-yet-beautiful actor's friends, family, and comedians he's never met.

Holy Hans Gruber! I haven't tuned into a Comedy Central Roast in over a decade, though I'd be willing to give this one a go. I'd imagine that Samuel L. Jackson will be there. I mean, he's got to be, right? How about Milla Jovovich or Uma Thurman? Will Helen Mirren or M. Night Shyamalan show up? Oh! Haley Joel Osment! The list goes on and on.

Who would you like to see step up to the podium to grill the DIE HARD action star? Be sure to let us know in the comments section below. In the meantime, you can look forward to seeing Willis reprise his role as the super-powered David Dunn when Shyamalan's GLASS comes to theaters on January 18th.
