Earlier today Twentieth Century Fox released a new poster for ALIEN: COVENANT which revealed that a new trailer for the Ridley Scott film would land tomorrow. However, the trailer seems to have leaked online early which prompted Fox to release the official goods a little sooner than they had planned. Even though PROMETHEUS may not have lived up to my rather lofty expectations, I still have high hopes for Scott's sequel, especially with what seems to be a return to the more horrific and suspenseful elements of the ALIEN franchise. Take a look at the new trailer for ALIEN: COVENANT for yourselves!
Even though this trailer dropped a little early, we still have some ALIEN: COVENANT goodies in store for you tomorrow as we can finally share our experiences from the set of ALIEN: COVENANT. Look for those set-visit articles right here on JoBlo tomorrow morning!
The official synopsis for ALIEN: COVENANT:
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
ALIEN: COVENANT will burst into theaters on May 19, 2017.
