Pacific Rim 2 unveils new, sleeker Jaeger designs

PACIFIC RIM is a tough one for me, because I love SO MUCH about it (I'm a ten-year-old boy at heart, so giant robots and giant monsters punching each other will always be my jam); however, I felt the film overall fell a bit flat. Too much fighting at night and in the ocean, as well as a lead so boring that if he were a flavored popsicle, he'd be plain

But I still have hope for the sequel, as it has a more interesting lead in John Boyega, and now we see it has new, sleeker – and dare I say it – sexier jaeger designs. Let's take a closer look:

Hmm, it seems like Gypsy Danger has been hittin' the gym since the last film. The other two robots look pretty cool as well – although, to be fair, jaeger designs were never the problem with the first film. Let's hope this one has a better script (being written by the sequel's director Steven S. DeKnight. who worked on the Netflix DAREDEVIL show), and more variety to the fights.

So any PACIFIC RIM fans out there? And if so, what are your thoughts on the new designs? Sound off below!

Either way, you can see more giant robots fighting giant robots February 23rd, 2018.
