A teaser poster has arrived for Steven Spielberg's THE BFG, and it features Sophie (newcomer Ruby Barnhill) standing on the titular giant's foot. It seems Disney isn't quite ready to give us a full reveal of Mark Rylance's big friendly giant, since we also only saw parts of him in the teaser trailer, but it will more than likely happen once we get closer to the film's opening date. Hopefully the release of this first poster means that a full trailer for the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Roald Dahl children's book will debut in the near future.

Synopsis:
The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants—rather than the BFG—she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!
THE BFG also stars Bill Hader, Jemaine Clement, Penelope Wilton, Adam Godley and Rebecca Hall, and is due out on July 1, 2016.
