SICARIO follows an idealistic FBI agent (Emily Blunt) as she is enlisted by an elite government task force official (Josh Brolin) to aid in the escalating war against drugs. The film has received almost nothing but glowing reviews (check out ours here) and there's even talk about a sequel following Benicio Del Toro's consultant character. For those of you who have already seen the flick, you probably appreciated the down and dirty visual aesthetics applied by director Denis Villeneuve and his DP . . . but did you notice the computer generated imagery? This Vimeo video by Oblique FX takes a look at what computers added to the film, and I'm willing to be you're going to be surprised! Note that there are mild spoilers for the first third of the film.
