TV trailers for Doctor Who, Damien and Hand of God straight from Comic Con

Last Updated on February 4, 2026

If you thought the San Diego Comic Con just had exciting movie news to throw around, you are sorely mistaken! Sorely! Straight from the Con are a few TV trailers that might pique your interest, the first of which being the series 9 trailer for Doctor Who. This upcoming season will see Peter Capaldi‘s third turn as famed traveler of space and time, and it sports some very familiar faces. Anyone here a fan of Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams?

Series 9 of Doctor Who will premiere on September 19, 2015.

This next show is actually a sequel to 1976’s THE OMEN. The aptly titled Damien will follow the adult life of (you guessed it) Damien Thorn, the mysterious child who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny — that he is the Antichrist. I suppose this show ignores that underrated second movie in the series, but that gives its main character more wiggle room for self discovery. Cue the Gregorian chants, wild dogs and spooky anti-Jesus things!

Damien will premiere sometime in 2016.

This next show stars Ron Perlman. If you’re anything like me, that’s all you need to know, but I’ll be happy to throw up a few details as well. Hand of God is an Amazon Original Series and looks to be a psychological drama about a morally-corrupt judge who suffers a breakdown and believes God is compelling him onto a path of vigilante justice. Is there any actor who can pull off crazy with more conviction? Hand of God certainly is a fitting title for the man who previously sported the right hand of doom! Just stay in shape for HELLBOY III, Ron!

Hand of God looks to hit Amazon this fall.
