AMC teases Better Call Saul in 10 seconds

When a studio or network has a major hit on their hands, it’s only natural to want to capitalize on it. Give the audience what they want and make a little more money – that’s the name of the game. The spinoff rarely proves to live up to the original, so it’s with great fascination that I have my eyes on the Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul. AMC knows people are waiting to see what they have in store, so they’ve released a VERY short video to keep us interested.

They obviously want to get this series to us while Breaking Bad is still fresh in people’s minds, although I’m surprised that they’ve already ordered a second season before the first has aired. Each season will sport 13 episodes and it starts in the year 2002, although as Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan states, “we like nonlinear storytelling.” I’ll be curious to see if a character such as Bob Odenkirk‘s Saul can really carry an entire show. With Vince Gilligan on board, I’m more than willing to give the show the benefit of the doubt.

Better Call Saul will hit the small screen in February of 2015.
