Yesterday, we got a look at a new thirty second TV spot for James Gunn‘s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, but late last night also featured the premiere of an extended sixty second spot for the film that aired during the NBA Finals. While LeBron and the Heat may have lost, Marvel fans were winners with a glimpse at some new footage from the late summer comic book movie.

The spot is basically the same footage from yesterday’s thirty second spot with the closing roll call from the recent theatrical trailer. But, interspersed in the ad are a couple of new sights. Namely Star-Lord’s elaborate weapon and a look at Gamora looking sexy. The voice over from Chris Pratt is slightly different as well. All together, the new spot just reinforces that GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is going to be a very different type of Marvel movie than we have seen to date.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY hits theaters on August 1st. You’re welcome.
