Did anyone see that movie with Ethan Hawke called ALIVE? Any time a film about hiking comes up, my mind immediately goes to this. Then I think of cannibalism, and then I’m creeped out.
Good thing is that I’m pretty sure I can watch EVEREST without worrying about any decisions surrounding devouring the flesh of others. However, it is the rather sad true story about an expedition on Mount Everest that left eight hikers dead. The film is based on author John Krakauer’s INTO THIN AIR. Krakauer was one of the survivors.
Right now Baltasar Kormakur (THE DEEP) is directing a star studded cast in Napal: Jason Clarke is playing Rob Hall with Jake Gyllenhaal as Scott Fischer, Josh Brolin as Beck Weathers and John Hawkes as Doug Hansen. Martin Henderson, Emily Watson, Michael Kelly and Thomas M. Wright also star
