Did anyone else have to go to the bathroom and clean up after watching the new trailer for PACIFIC RIM? I don't "geek out" too often on the site (you won't see me ending an article with *giggle* anytime soon) but the shot in the trailer of the Jaeger robot dragging the oil tanker literally made my jaw drop, which hasn't happened to me in a long time. While the first trailer was great the newest one gave us a lot better looks at the Jaegers and Kaiju in action and it did not disappoint.
A new banner for the Guillermo Del Toro directed film has been released and it just screams, "Epic." I think some of the best visuals in the movie are going to be when the robots and creatures face-off in urban settings because you can get a better feel for their size when compared to the environment around them. If they're boxing in the middle of the ocean it's a little harder to appreciate their size. When they're towering over a bridge it's pretty clear that they are f*cking massive.
PACIFIC RIM starring Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi and Clifton Collins, Jr. will smack you upside the head with a nautical vessel on July 12th, 2013.
