Let the memes begin! The Internet reacts to the Disney-Lucasfilm merger. Plus Darth Vader visits Disneyland!

We here on the Internet are a particular bunch. When word of Lucasfilm being sold to Disney broke yesterday and that we would be getting a new trilogy, starting with STAR WARS: EPISODE VII in 2015, the Net exploded with a sticky geekgasm. Fanboys everywhere united in their support/hatred of this news, mostly favoring the merger.

These days, the Internet doesn’t know that you support or hate something unless it is presented in meme format. Thanks to the nerds over at BuzzFeed (love you guys!), here are the best memes so far for the Disney-Lucasfilm merger news.

We also have an official video from Disney that welcomes STAR WARS to the family. Check out Darth Vader himself visiting Disneyland. (Note: this is an old video promoting the Star Tours attraction and now includes references to the announced merger.)
