Six new clips from ParaNorman show the lighter side of talking to ghosts

JoBloJoBlo

PARANORMAN is opening in just a few weeks and we have six brand new clips from the movie to whet your appetite.

I love stop motion movies. For some reason they all tend to be dark in nature and tone. Even JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH was creepy looking, mostly from that Tim Burton influence. PARANORMAN looks to carry on that tradition. The first teaser for the movie was perfect and everything I have seen since has me genuinely excited for the movie. It reminds me quite a bit of MONSTER HOUSE. if you haven’t seen that, check it out.

Plot: When a small town comes under siege by zombies, who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman, who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

Featuring the voices of Casey Affleck, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kodi Smit-McPhee, John Goodman, Leslie Mann, and Jeff Garlin, PARANORMAN looks like a nice late summer treat.

PARANORMAN opens on August 17th.
