McG has become a major presence in Hollywood. Love him or hate him, he has found major success in television with shows like “Supernatural”, “Chuck”, “Nikita” and more. He has also made a few box office hits including CHARLIE’S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE and TERMINATOR: SALVATION. His latest is a rom-com meets action flick called THIS MEANS WAR starring Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine… and it is one hell of an entertaining movie.
When I sat down with him and he asked what my favorite movie was of last year – forgive me as I still have the phenomenal THE GREY on my mind (I do realize that it came out this year) – I immediately dug the guy. After some cool flicks talk, we jumped into THIS MEANS WAR. While I appreciate some of the television shows he has been a part of, his films have not always blown me away. Yet his energy and excitement for cinema is addictive. It is hard not to have faith in the guy especially since he is giving audiences a damned entertaining Valentine’s Day flick that is good for both guys and gals. Check out THIS MEANS WAR this coming Tuesday on Valentine’s Day at a theatre near you.
