Agent Coulson helps fill gaps in the Marvel movie universe with short films

JoBloJoBlo

Marvel’s movies obviously all take place in the same “universe”, but now S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson will help us understand how.

The studio is supplementing their superhero series with “One-Shots” starring Clark Gregg’s unflappable secret agent, beginning with an original short called “The Consultant” on the upcoming THOR Blu-Ray, to be followed later with “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer…”.

The shorts are described as “self-contained stories about the day in the life of a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent,” and are directed by Leytheum and scored by DJ Paul Oakenfold.

Marvel describes the timeline like so: ““‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer…’ picks up after Agent Coulson leaves Tony Stark’s lab in Malibu during ‘Iron Man 2,’ and occurs before he arrives solo at the crater site in ‘Thor.’ ‘The Consultant’ takes place sometime after the plots of ‘Iron Man 2,’ ‘Thor,’ and ‘The Incredible Hulk,’ but before ‘Marvel’s The Avengers.’”

Check out a sample below. THOR strikes Blu on September 13th.
