Guillermo del Toro is a true genius. He also happens to be a kindhearted gentleman that adores cinema. When he puts his name behind a film, you know it must be worth seeing. So it is no surprise to hear that the film he wrote and produced is scaring up some pretty great hype. The remake of DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK (directed by Troy Nixey) is meant to terrify and haunt you as you turn off the lights to go to sleep.

We had the opportunity to speak to del Toro, star Guy Pearce and director Troy Nixey about DARK and they shared with us his utter excitement for making this spooky little flick.

Check out our time with del Toro and remember… whatever you do… don’t turn off the lights! DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK opens on August, 26, 2011.
