Rob Riggle joins Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street

JoBloJoBlo

The Sony-produced adaptation of 21 JUMP STREET is continuing to chug along towards a summer start with the addition of Rob Riggle to its cast. Riggle will star alongside Jonah Hill (who also produces), Channing Tatum, Brie Larson and Ice Cube in the comedy-action film directed by the CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Riggle would play Walt, the head of a high school program called D.A.D. (“Dads Against Drugs”) who is helping to rid the local high school of drugs after his son is killed.

The story originates from The Hollywood Reporter though I strongly suggest you don’t click over as they include a major and completely unnecessary spoiler in their write-up (without any kind of spoiler alert).

I know you’re all wondering whether Johnny Depp will make the much-talked about cameo but you know what? This will be a hilarious movie regardless of Johnny Depp. He’s great and all but honestly that cameo is the least interesting thing about this movie.
