Cool Videos: John Carpenter’s The Thing – ReDub

There are a few genre films that some fans (like myself) know inside and out, and John Carpenter’s chilly paranoia classic THE THING is one of them.

So it’s amazing what a difference it can make just by dubbing the characters’ voices with unexpected and incongruous delivery (and inserting a few juvenile adjustments to the dialogue).

That’s what Sequential Pictures did with THE THING, yielding some pretty funny results from the redub machine:
