Annual video game summit The Tokyo Game Show is in full swing right now in Japan, and crawling out of the region today is a concept trailer for “Silent Hills”, the new entry into the venerable franchise. Spearheaded by “Metal Gear” creator Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, the game was first announced last month courtesy of a compelling teaser starring Norman Reedus.

The new trailer offers up some conceptual gameplay from the game, and it frankly looks creepy as f*ck.

Here is what del Toro had to say about his involvement in the project:

“We talked about concepts and tools at his headquarters in Tokyo,” del Toro said. “Then he sent his first version of the playable teaser. I saw it loved it. We then… exchanged ideas and the result was the playable teaser you see now.

The concepts we’re discussing, the ideas that we’re discussing and the tools that are in play to create Silent Hills are going to render an incredibly intense and an incredibly scary game.”
