Tom Harper’s THE WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGEL OF DEATH has just been swept up by Relativity with a seven-figure deal for the U.S. distribution rights, reports Deadline. Not bad! The first film was decent enough and I'm curious to see where they take the story now that it's set 40 years after the original. The sequel takes us into the same house where a group of children who are evacuated from London during World War II come to stay and awaken the house’s darkest inhabitants. Why do little kids always have to mess everything up? Waking up evil spirits and all that shit. When are they ever going to learn?

Here's what it's about:

England, 1941. With London in the midst of the blitz, two teachers evacuate a group of schoolchildren to the abandoned Eel Marsh House. Seeking safety from the bombs in the remote coastal location, the group instead find themselves facing an evil far more frightening when their arrival awakens the Woman in Black.

THE WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGEL OF DEATH stars Helen McCrory, Jeremy Irvine, Adrian Rawlins and Oaklee Pendergast. It comes out in UK theaters on February 13, 2015.
