Lionsgate and Hulu team for supernatural comedy Deadbeat

Lionsgate has teamed with Hulu and Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B on “Deadbeat” a supernatural comedy from Cody Heller and Brett Konner (“Wilfred”).

“Deadbeat” centers on a hapless but gifted male medium who helps New York’s ghosts settle their unfinished business.

10 episodes have been ordered, all of which will be directed by Troy Miller (“Flight of the Conchords”). Production on “Deadbeat” begins in the fall and the show will air on Hulu and Hulu Plus in the U.S. next year. Lionsgate will distribute the show internationally.
