Another horror movie with an adjective as its title is coming at us, this time courtesy of the Weinstein Company. According to Box Office Mojo (via Fangoria), we learn that the brothers Weinstein are concocting a picture called SATANIC, which is evidently set to star Haley Bennett (THE HAUNTING OF MOLLY HARTLEY, THE HOLE 3D).
Not only that, the studio has given SATANIC an AUGUST 30, 2013 release date. The Weinsteins have used that late August weekend frequently; both of Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN films were released there, as was this past summer’s LAWLESS. It has become a popular weekend for horror movies in general, with both THE LAST EXORCISM and THE POSSESSION proving their worth in the slot.
