Alice Braga (pictured) has joined the cast of ELYSIUM. No stranger to genre flicks, the Brazilian beauty has appeared in I AM LEGEND, PREDATORS, THE RITE and REPO MEN. Much like those of the rest of the movie, details on her role are being kept under wraps.
Braga joins the previously announced Jodie Foster, Matt Damon, Wagner Moura, William Fichtner and Sharlto Copley. The film is written and directed by Neill Blomkamp (DISTRICT 9). It’s scheduled to hit theaters on March 1, 2013, courtesy of Sony Pictures.
Plot details are unavailable, but we do know that the picture will take place 100 years in the future and will involve aliens. Rumors are abound that the story will follow a battle between humans and an alien race for the right to colonize another planet.
