Rodar y Rodar and Antena 3 Films are re-teaming up for THE BODY, known in its native Spanish as EL CUERPO. The film will mark the directorial debut of Oriol Paulo, who recently co-wrote JULIA’S EYES.

The cast will feature A-list Spanish actors. Jaime Pena is already set to star as a police inspector sent to investigate the disappearance of a woman’s body from a morgue.

THE ORPHANAGE director of photography Oscar Faura is on board, along with JULIA’S EYES editor Joan Manel Vilaseca. Paulo says that the “Hitchcock-like psychological thriller” channels influences such as THE BIRDS and MISERY. Shooting is scheduled to begin in January.
