ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST will be released as a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack on April 19, courtesy of Shriek Show. Special features have not yet been announced, but you can check out the cover art below. The 1980 film is directed by Marino Girolami. Here is the synopsis:
In an effort to expose a flesh-eating cult in New York City, a team of scientists sets out on an expedition to the primitive island of Keto. They are soon trapped in the wilderness, surrounded by a tribe of murderous cannibals and an army of deadly zombies!
The Italian cult classic stars Ian McCulloch, Alexandra Delli Colli, Sherry Buchanan, Peter O’Neal, Donald O’Brien, Dakar and Walter Patriarca. An alternative cut was released in the U.S. as DOCTOR BUTCHER, M.D. The film is sometimes billed as ZOMBIE 3, as it was filmed on the same set as Lucio Fulci’s ZOMBIE and features McCulloh and Dakar in nearly identical roles.
