KILL LIST had its world premiere at SXSW on Saturday night and continues to screen throughout the festival as part of its SXFantastic program. The film was apparently a success, as it is drawing attention from multiple potential buyers. Protagonist Pictures is repping the sale.
Meanwhile, a new image from the film has been revealed. Any genre fan will be immediately reminded of THE WICKER MAN imagery. Check it out below. The horror flick is directed by Ben Wheatley, who co-wrote the script with Amy Jump. It stars Neil Maskell, Michael Smiley and MyAnna Buring.
Beginning eight months after a disastrous job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred, ex-soldier turned contract killer Jay is pressured by his partner, Gal, into taking a tough new assignment. As they descend into the dark, disturbing world of the contract, Jay begins to unravel once again – his fear and paranoia sending him deep into the heart of darkness.
