As you may have noticed, the 2010 Blacklist – a litany of the year’s best unproduced screenplays – was made public this week. As always, a few genre scripts made the cut, and it seems a couple of them have already been snatched up for development!

One such flick is the high concept mash-up BOY SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES, which has just been acquired by Paramount. The script was written by Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki (COLLEGE ROAD TRIP), and as we reported back in September, has Andy Flickman is in line to direct (he’ll also co-produce). Word is the script is GOONIES-esque, and centers on a boy scout troop that must save their female counterpart when a campground is overrun by deadly zombie scourge.

In addition, a futuristic thriller called WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY – a Blacklist script by Max Botkin – has been picked up by Vendome Pictures. We haven’t heard much about the film prior, but it’s said to focus on identical septuplet twins who struggle to survive in a future where population control outlaws siblings in a “one child” policy. Raffaella (DeLaurentiis) Productions developed the script.

Alright, we wanna hear from you guys. Are either of these script acquisitions exciting to you? If you had to choose, which would you rather see…BOY SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES or WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY?

Merry Xmas yo!
