Might the success of THE LAST EXORCISM renewed the market for THE EXORCIST imitators? MTI seems to think so, as the distributor will release LEGION: THE FINAL EXORCISM on DVD on January 11th. The indie film was originally completed in 2006 under the title COSTA CHICA: CONFESSION OF AN EXORCIST. Hard to believe that title didn’t sell. Check out the trailer below.

The movie features professional wrestler/THEY LIVE badass Roddy Piper, yet he is curiously absent from the preview. Instead, we are treated to a slew of low-budget possession featuring star Ariel Teal Toombs (below) – who just so happens to be Hot Rod’s daughter.

David Heavener’s independent thriller is based on true events of an exorcism. Here’s the plot:

Michael San Chica is an ex-priest. He is also an investigator documenting true events of demonic possession. When Michael comes to the rescue of the newly possessed Tatiana McMurter, daughter of a Baptist minister, he discovers that he has encountered this demon before… A demon he vowed to track down and send back to hell. Because this time it’s not business… it’s personal.

The above art is said to be temporary. Full cover art and special features for the disk are expected soon. Pre-order the DVD right HERE.
