Zack Snyder reveals new pics from zombie heist flick Army of the Dead

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So, EW has just exclusively released two new stills from Netflix's upcoming zombie heist film, Army of the Dead, helmed by the 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake director himself, Zack Snyder. You can even check out the stills at the bottom of the article!

Here's the official synopsis:

Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

And here's what Snyder had to say about the project:

It is a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it’s genre-on-genre in a great way. So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 percent. But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey. It’s going to surprise people that there’s a lot of warmth and real emotion with these great characters.

Meanwhile, Army of the Dead – starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera – is set to premiere on Netflix this summer (but we'll keep you updated when an official release date is announced).

So what do you guys think? And what other untapped genres would you like to see retrofitted into a zombie film? Either way, sound off below!
