How does that creed go? Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers? What about hordes of bad guys? Torrential downpours of blood? The postal service might need to go back to the drawing board after watching the latest trailer for Runner, an upcoming action movie about two delivery officials who are in over their heads when the precious package they’re transporting becomes a hot item on the black market.
What is Runner about?
Hailing from Angel Studios, Runner stars Alan Ritchson (Reacher, War Machine, The Ministry of Ungentlemenly Warfare) and Owen Wilson (Midnight in Paris, Loki, The Royal Tennebaums). In the film, “a former soldier (Ritchson) is thrown into a race against time as a medical delivery makes him the target of a ruthless cartel.” Runner comes from the team behind Mortal Kombat and The Hitman’s Bodyguard, blending bloody action with comedy in a race against the clock to save a little girl’s life.
The film also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Leila George, Kate Box, Peta Sergeant, Geraldine Hakewill, Cecilia Toussaint, and Scarlett Crabtree.
In a statement, the film’s director, Scott Waugh (Expend4bles, Need for Speed, Project X-traction) said, “Partnering with Angel is a game-changer, because Runner is the kind of theatrical film audiences have been waiting for – big action, real heart, and a story that brings light into this world. When everything’s on the line to save a life, real men don’t run from the fire; they drive straight into it.”
Ritchson’s The Man with the Bag
Alan Ritchson is busy as hell these days. He recently completed work on his starring role in the Adam Shankman-directed action comedy The Man with the Bag, which features Arnold Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus! “When Santa’s magic bag is stolen, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him get it back,” says a description for the holiday action comedy opening on December 2, 2026. Plus, his latest, Motor City, hits theatres July 24th, and then there’s another season of Reacher coming August 12th!
Owen Wilson is Focking hilarious
As for Owen Wilson, he recently wrapped production on Focker-in-Law, in which he reprises his role as Kevin Rawley for the cringeworthy comedy sequel starring Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Ariana Grande, Skyler Gisondo, and Teri Polo. “A young man named Henry, son of Greg and Pam Focker, faces family chaos when he decides to marry a strong-willed woman who appears to be his complete mismatch,” reads a description for the film coming to theaters on November 25, 2026.
