Eli Roth’s Ice Cream Man is coming home with plenty of gore just in time for Halloween season. Alliance Home Entertainment and The Horror Section have announced the physical media release dates for Roth’s horror comedy. Ice Cream Man will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on October 20, 2026, followed by a Limited 4K UHD & Blu-ray Collector’s Edition SteelBook on November 17. Copies are already available for pre-order on Amazon.

The movie will also be available to buy or rent digitally on September 22, meaning horror fans who missed its theatrical run won’t have to wait long to see Roth’s latest nightmare at home.

Set in the seemingly quiet seaside town of Bayleen Bay, Ice Cream Man follows a mysterious ice cream vendor who arrives with treats that no child can resist. Things quickly take a horrifying turn when the town’s youngsters become a murderous force, leaving a small group of unaffected kids to uncover the sinister truth behind the smiling stranger.

Roth directed Ice Cream Man from a screenplay he wrote with Noah Belson, and the film stars Ari Millen, Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer, Charlie Storey, and Roth himself.

The movie premiered theatrically on August 7, 2026, and is a completely new story rather than a remake or continuation of the 1995 Ice Cream Man starring Clint Howard.

What’s Included With the Ice Cream Man 4K SteelBook?

The Limited 4K UHD & Blu-ray Collector’s Edition is aimed at horror collectors. Along with the movie, the SteelBook package includes an exclusive slipcover, collectible art cards, and scratch-and-sniff stickers. The release also comes loaded with bonus material, including:

  • Commentary by Eli Roth and co-writer Noah Belson
  • Cast & Crew Interviews, including Roth and Ari Millen
  • Behind-the-Scenes Footage
  • Eli Roth’s Short Films
  • Trailer Gallery
  • Ice Cream Man: The Backstory
  • The Ice Cream Truck
  • Kidpocalypse

The standard Blu-ray and DVD editions will also include exclusive interviews with Roth and Millen.

Ice Cream Man is another bloody genre project from Roth, the filmmaker behind movies like Cabin Fever, Hostel, The Green Inferno, and Thanksgiving. The filmmaker has described the new movie as an idea he had been developing for more than two decades before finally bringing it to the screen.
