FalloutFallout

Attention, Vault Dwellers! Kilter Films and Bethesda Game Studios are joining forces for a new post-apocalyptic pinball experience in honor of one of the most legendary dystopian franchises in history, Fallout! This newfangled pinball machine hails from Stern Pinball, with Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models bringing post-war chaos inspired by the beloved video game series and 27-time Emmy-nominated live-action TV series.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats and Vault Tech

In Fallout by Stern Pinball, players are thrown into the chaotic post-apocalyptic wasteland, only to discover that the end of the world is just the beginning. Through the chosen perspective of Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, or Maximus, players can experience the unique set of playable side modes and features from each character while uncovering the horrors of Vault-Tec’s past, present, and future. Players will battle wastelanders, level up S.P.E.C.I.A.L. (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck) abilities, hack computer terminals with their Pip-Boy, and enter the vault during an action-packed adventure that brings the iconic legacy of Fallout to life.

Direct Input from Kilter Films and Bethesda

Created in direct collaboration with producers at Kilter Films (including executive producer Jonathan Nolan) and Bethesda Game Studios (including director Todd Howard), Stern’s Fallout machine is anchored by visual elements that fans instantly recognize. Featuring Vault Boy, Power Armor, Nuka-Cola, and iconic Vault Suits, the experience integrates the distinctive aesthetics of the post-apocalyptic wasteland for unrivaled visual authenticity. Further celebrating the IP, the game seamlessly incorporates footage from Seasons 1 and 2 of the TV series, assets pulled directly from the video games, and custom callouts from Johnny Pemberton, who plays Thaddeus.

War Never Changes, but Pinball Does

In the most ambitious game yet from the team that created Godzilla, JAWS, and Jurassic Park, Fallout by Stern Pinball uses cutting-edge technology to immerse players in the realism of the ruined world. On the playfield, a replica Pip-Boy created with The WAND Co. offers a colorful display for mode info, alongside standout mechanical features, including:

  • Fat Man Launcher & V.A.T.S.: A multi-axis launcher that shoots balls to an upper playfield target gallery using targeting mechanics inspired by the games.
  • Interactive Playfield Toys: A Deathclaw bash toy with kickback and taunt features, alongside a Mechanical Vault Blast Door that opens to reveal underground zones.
  • Mechanical Innovations: A Nuka-Cola Bottle Cap spinner with vertical movement, a “Mutated” inverted upper flipper, and a lower playfield powered by “Magna-Flip” magnetic technology.

Stern’s Fallout pinball machine marks a natural progression for the iconic franchise, following its surge in popularity since the launch of Prime Video’s hit series. The characters, creatures, and lore all translate seamlessly into the innovative video game genre, with many surprises waiting for new and old-school players alike.

We here at JoBlo love a solid pinball experience, and judging from the trailer, Stern’s Fallout pinball machine looks like a must-play for pinball wizards and casuals everywhere!
