Amazon explores futuristic mystery in trailer for Tales From the Loop series

Inspired by the sci-fi paintings of Simon Stålenhag, Amazon's upcoming series Tales From the Loop explores "the mind-bending adventures of the people who live above the Loop, a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things previously relegated to science fiction, possible. In this fantastical, mysterious town, poignant human tales are told that bare universal emotional experiences, while drawing on the intrigue of genre storytelling." Amazon has released the first trailer for the series, which looks rather wondrous and compelling. I'm already sold.

Tales From the Loop has been created and written Nathaniel Halpern, who also executive produces along with Matt Reeves (THE BATMAN) and Mark Romanek (NEVER LET ME GO), the latter of whom also directed the pilot episode. The series stars Rebecca Hall as Loretta, a gifted physicist; Jonathan Pryce as Russ, the founder and leader of the Loop project; and Paul Schneider as Geroge, Russ' son.

Tales From the Loop will debut on Amazon Prime Video on April 3, 2020. Simon Stålenhag also produced a trio of new posters for the series, which you can check out below.
