When we met the character of Bill Denbrough in director Andy Muschietti's Stephen King adaptation IT, he was a young kid played by Jaeden Lieberher Martell (pictured above). When we catch up with him twenty-seven years later in the upcoming continuation IT: CHAPTER TWO, also directed by Muschietti, he'll be played by James McAvoy.

Muschietti recently took to his Instagram account to wish McAvoy a happy birthday, and while doing so he shared a picture of McAvoy in character as Bill in CHAPTER TWO.

The image is embedded below, but you'll really have to be a huge fan of IT and/or McAvoy to get anything out of it. Otherwise it's just a random shot of James McAvoy looking like James McAvoy.

Scripted by Gary Dauberman, IT: CHAPTER TWO has the following synopsis:

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, IT CHAPTER TWO brings the characters — who’ve long since gone their separate ways — back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

McAvoy is joined in the cast by Martell, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Wyatt Oleff, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer, with Bill Skarsgård back as the evil clown Pennywise.

IT: CHAPTER 2 is produced by Barbara Muschietti, Dan Lin, and Roy Lee, with Marty Ewing, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg serving as executive producers. The film is scheduled to reach theatres on September 6th.
