Basterds minimovie

Despite the prominent scalp-hunting themes, Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is arguably as much about cinema as it is a war movie.

One of the film’s major story points revolves around a noted Nazi sharpshooter, and the propaganda film about his exploits, NATION’S PRIDE. In between walloping German craniums with a baseball bat, director/actor Eli Roth apparently found time to help out shooting scenes for this movie-within-a-movie, the “trailer” of which can be seen below.

The BASTERDS open fire on August 21st. And our man loved it.
