Ben Foster and Elle Fanning run for their lives in new Galveston trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

RLJE Films have debuted a new trailer for GALVESTON, an upcoming action crime drama from actor, writer, director Mélanie Laurent (THE ADOPTED, BREATHE, DIVING) with a script by Jim Hammett. Starring Ben Foster (HELL OR HIGH WATER, ALPHA DOG), Elle Fanning (THE NEON DEMON, SUPER 8), Beau Bridges (FABULOUS BAKER BOYS, MAX PAYNE), Lili Reinhart (THE KINGS OF SUMMER, The CW's RIVERDALE) and Robert Aramayo (NOCTURNAL ANIMALS, HBO's GAME OF THRONES), Laurent's latest feature directorial effort looks to deliver an intense story of cat and mouse, as the film's title characters race toward the horizon with the hope of evading their enraged pursuers.

Here's the official plot synopsis for the film:

Roy (Ben Foster) is a heavy-drinking criminal enforcer and mob hit man whose boss set him up in a double-cross scheme. After killing his would-be assassins before they could kill him, Roy discovers Rocky (Elle Fanning), a young woman being held captive, and reluctantly takes her with him on his escape. Determined to find safety and sanctuary in Galveston, Roy must find a way to stop his boss from pursuing them while trying to outrun the demons from his and Rocky’s pasts.

It's been a while since I've seen an honest-to-goodness road drama, and GALVESTON looks to ticking all my boxes with its intense performances, stark backdrop, and promise of blood on the sand. I'll be checking this one out for sure, how about you? Let us know in the comments section below.

GALVESTON will arrive in theaters and on VOD and Digital HD on October 19th.
