After winning an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and with TO ROME WITH LOVE already set to come out in just a few months, you could say Woody Allen is on a bit of a roll right now. As much as someone who has made nearly a movie a year for over thirty five years can be “on a roll,” anyway.
And in the typical Allen way, he humbly keeps right on rolling as part of his apparent mission to work with every halfway decent actor and actress in the film business. We already know about the possibility of his next film being set in Copenhagen, and now it has come to light that Allen wants Bradley Cooper to be a part of his upcoming untitled film’s ensemble with Cate Blanchett in one of the starring roles. Nobody connected with Allen would comment on the casting rumors at this time.
Hopefully as we get closer to the release of TO ROME WITH LOVE (June 22nd) Allen will have more information for us, but until then… who else that Allen has not worked with yet would you like to see him recruit?
