Branagh and Thor

With Jon Favreau absolutley killing it as IRON MAN’s director, it looks as though Marvel will continue to let actors direct their company cornerstones. In what must come as a shock to some and a surprise to many, real-live thespian and gentleman with a touch of class, Kenneth Branagh, is in serious negotiations to direct THOR.

Written by Mark Protosevich, THOR follows disabled medical student Donald Blake, who has an alter ego as the hammer-wielding Norse god Thor. I’ve never been a fan of this superhero per se, but with Branagh at the helm, DAREDEVIL this will not be. The film has a tentative release date of June 4th, 2010.
