Check out the elvish version of Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel in The Hobbit

I have to be honest here; I have a crush on Evangeline Lilly.  She’s so damn cute, I just want to put her in my pocket and carry her around with me all day, while feeding her M&Ms.  So, I’m biased and I’m okay with that.  We haven’t seen much of the actress since ABC’s Lost wrapped up, but she’s popped up in a few places, including THE HURT LOCKER and ROCK ‘EM SOCK ‘EM ROBOTS REAL STEEL, which isn’t too shabby, but nothing compared to a Peter Jackson Hobbit movie.  Now, we have our first glimpse of the lovely actress in THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY as Tauriel, a member of the elvish army who is every bit as deadly as Legolas.  The character isn’t in the book by J.R.R. Tolkien, but why would that stop Jackson from having a hot elf that kicks ass?  I’m oddly fine with it.

Have a look:

We didn’t see any glimpses of Tauriel in the latest trailer for THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY and the actress has already said that her role is small in the first film and much larger in the second (and the third? Who knows?).  Either way, any little bit of Evangeline Lilly is a good thing in my book, even if it’s just a picture of an action figure card.  I’m sure some official pics will hit the net soon enough, but until then…

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY starts trekking through theaters on December 14, 2012.

And, because this story is a great excuse to share some more Evangeline…

F*ck it, one more…
