Today Marvel has released a full-length trailer highlighting the release of their upcoming blu ray boxed set for Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled. The trailer shows footage and interviews from all of the Marvel films that are part of phase one, leading up to THE AVENGERS.

Obviously, this is super cool, but the problem is that most uber fans already own all of these films, so what’s the incentive to buy them again? I can’t imagine the bonus disc and packaging make THAT big of a deal. However, collectors will be collectors and some may see this as a good way to complete their collection if they’re missing a few of the flicks, which I can respect.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled (10-Disc Limited Edition Six-Movie Collector’s Set) does not have an official release date (an announcement should be made on July 15), but you can preorder from Amazon here.
