David Goyer haters can rest a little easier as it looks like a new screenwriter is being brought in to pen a new draft for BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. While Christopher Nolan shared story credit on MAN OF STEEL, writing duties went directly to Goyer who worked with Zack Snyder to develop the new origin for Superman. But, with Goyer heavily involved with Warner Bros overall plans for their DC properties, a new scribe has been selected to work on the big hero team-up.

Chris Terrio, the Academy Award winning screenwriter of ARGO, is being brought on to write a new draft of BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. There is obviously a connection between Ben Affleck and Terrio from that award-winning movie and I wouldn’t doubt the new Batman had some influence in who got the job. ARGO did represent Terrio’s first solo screenwriting gig and it was a damn fine one. I am sure he will be developing on the existing story that is already in place, but this should bode well for the quality of the sequel.

On top of the news that Warner Bros is interested in casting Joaquin Phoenix as Lex Luthor and possibly Jason Momoa for another role, BATMAN VS SUPERMAN is looking better and better with each passing day.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
