Chucky yule log video keeps the holiday festivities going

Christmas weekend has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the holiday festivities have to end – and since winter is here in full force, it’s definitely still fireplace weather. So it doesn’t feel like it’s too late to share the Chucky yule log video that was released by the folks at Syfy last week. The video is, sadly, geoblocked, but if you can see it you’ll find the heartwarming sight of horror icon Chucky sitting beside a fireplace – a Christmas tree nearby and stockings hung with care. And this is a video you’ll be able to keep on in the background for 70 minutes.

Chucky season 2, which aired on both Syfy and USA Network, wrapped up its eight episode run in late November with a season finale that was set on Christmas. There’s still no word on whether or not we’ll be getting a third season of the show.

A follow-up to all of the Child’s Play movies (remake excluded), Chucky picks up where Cult of Chucky left off. Don Mancini, who has written every film in the franchise (except that remake) and directed a few of them, developed Chucky with producer David Kirschner. Mancini and Kirschner are executive producing Chucky with Harley Peyton, Alex Hedlund, and Nick Antosca. Here’s the synopsis for Chucky season 2:

After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake, Devon, and Lexy, along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy. Meanwhile, will ‘Jevon’ make it as a couple in the face of adversity at their new Catholic school, not to mention a brand-new onslaught of terror from the demon doll?

The series stars Jennifer Tilly (as serial killer Tiffany Valentine, now inhabiting the body of actress Jennifer Tilly), Zackary Arthur (as Jake Wheeler), Alyvia Alyn Lind (as Lexy Cross), Fiona Dourif (as Nica Pierce), Björgvin Arnarson (as Devon Evans), Alex Vincent (as Andy Barclay), Christine Elise (as Kyle), Barbara Alyn Woods (as Mayor Michelle Cross), Lachlan Watson (as Glen/Glenda), and Brad Dourif (providing the voice of Chucky). Chucky season 2 also has Devon Sawa in its cast, despite the fact that the twin brothers he played in season 1 were both killed. Sawa has said that it feels like Mancini is going “even f*cking wilder” with season 2. Lara Jean Chorostecki, Tony Nappo, Tilly’s sister Meg Tilly, her Bound co-stars Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano, and her best friend Sutton Stracke (known for being one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) were in there as well.
