JURASSIC WORLD 3 doesn't stomp into theaters until June of next year, but apparently that's not going to stop the film's director, Colin Trevorrow, from teasing fans with a look at one of the sequel's adorable new additions. Trevorrow posted a tweet on Monday that features a detailed look at a baby dinosaur that is too cute for words. I mean seriously, I could gaze into the glassy eyes of this little tyke all day long.

While digging into the photo, I'd found that the dino is most likely a young Nasutoceratops. According to the official Jurassic World: Evolution Wiki: A Nasutoceratops is similar in size to other ceratopsians such as Triceratops and Sinoceratops. Physically it is distinguished by its short yet thick snout and large, unique rounded horns above its eyes that extended almost to the end of its beak-like mouth, resulting in similar facial features to modern cattle.

You can take a look at Trevorrow's tweet below:

Previously, Trevorrow posted an early video of the baby Nasutoceratops in action. As the footage plays on, we can see a technician sitting outside the tiny beast's enclosure, working levers and twsiting knobs that help bring the animal to life.

Naturally, the sight of the baby Nasutoceratops will serve as a fine callback to the original JURASSIC PARK, which as you'll likely recall featured a emotional scene involving a Triceratops in distress after the majestic beast had injested posionous West Indian Lilac berries. One thing's for sure, this new dino looks positively amazing, and it does my practical effects-loving heart good to see that Trevorrow's sequel will feature animatronic dinos as opposed to making the monstrous cast entirely out of CGI elements.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, JURASSIC WORLD 3 will see Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum reprising their roles as Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, respectively, from the original Jurassic Park trilogy. The third film in the Jurassic World series will also feature Chris Pratt as Raptor Whisperer Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, with Jake Johnson as Lowery, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Zia Rodriguez, and BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, among others.

Plot details for JURASSIC WORLD 3 are being kept under wraps at this time, though we do know that the film will be stomping into theaters June 11, 2021. Are excited for the next chapter of the Jurassic franchise? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
