Of all the challenges which J.J. Abrams faced in bringing STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS to life, designing a new droid which audiences would embrace just as much as R2-D2 must have been high on the list. Thankfully Abrams and his team were able to achieve just that and the adorable BB-8 frequently stole the show. A great many people were responsible for bringing the little droid to life, including Ben Schwartz (Parks & Recreation) and Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live). The pair were credited as "Vocal Consultants" on the film, but what the heck does that mean? A clip from one of the new features on the recently released Collectors Edition of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS sheds a little light on that question.
