In Wes Craven‘s SCREAM, Jamie Kennedy lists the rules for surviving a horror movie. Then, all of the characters proceed to break those very rules which results in grisly and gruesome deaths. For as long as horror has existed, characters have made very stupid decisions which invariably result in bad ends for everyone.

Behold, HELL NO: THE SENSIBLE HORROR MOVIE, a funny video courtesy of the folks at PixelsPerSecond.

Imagine a realm where the most horrifying terrors of the underworld emerge to wreak bloody vengeance upon any who… hmm? what’s that? you wanna go literally anywhere else? yeah, good idea let’s get out of here.

HELL NO is a pretty damn funny trailer that would make for one really short feature film. We all know the dumb decisions are what makes horror movies tick, so why try to change it? There will always be a small minority of intelligent horror movies while the vast majority will be brainless gorefests that we can watch on Halloween. They aren’t there to win Oscars, just to scare the shit out of us.
