Earlier this week, and before today's Netflix premiere of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK season 5, Sesame Street has shared a (G-rated) parody that fans of the show are bound to adore. The felt puppet-populated skit runs at a total of 5-minutes and features a change of venue from Litchfield Penitentiary to Litchfield Academy, where a cheerful new girl named Piper Snackman introduces her fellow inmates students to the benefits and deliciousness that come with eating healthy.

The skit begins with the Sesame Street team re-creating the title theme of the all-women prison program by songtress Regina Spektor, with their own fun and familiar rendition. The parody also features puppet versions of fan-favorite characters like Morello, Red, and of course, a character named "Googly Eyes." The clip is an innocent five-minutes of fun, with Piper Snackman ultimately saving snack time by introducing a healthier alternative to Red's standardized cookie routine.

You can check out the smart and adorable parody below:

In the past, Sesame Street has playfully spoofed some of television's most popular programs such as GAME OF THRONES, MAD MEN, TRUE BLOOD, BOARDWALK EMPIRE and more.

ORANGE OF THE NEW BLACK season 5 goes live on Netflix today.
