Dario Argento’s Inferno coming to DVD/Blu-ray in March, details available

Blue Underground will release Dario Argento’s INFERNO on special edition DVD and Blu-ray on March 28th. The film will be presented in high-def for the first time in the U.S. from a new transfer from the original uncut negative. You can check out the cover art below. The special features will be as follows:

– Art & Alchemy: Interview with star Leigh McCloskey
– Reflections of Rose: Interview with star Irene Miracle
– Interview with writer/director Dario Argento and assistant director Lamberto Bava
– Introduction by Argento
– Theatrical Trailer

The 1980 film is the second in Argento’s “Three Mothers” trilogy, between SUSPIRIA and MOTHER OF TEARS. It stars Irene Miracle, Leigh McCloskey, Eleonora Giorgi (below), Daria Nicolodi, and Alida Valli. Here is the plot:

A young woman stumbles upon a mysterious diary that reveals the secrets of “The Three Mothers” and unleashes a nightmare world of demonic evil. As the unstoppable horror spreads from Rome to New York City, this unholy trinity must be stopped before the world is submerged in the blood of the innocent.
