We’ve all heard crazy stores about “cursed” movies, such as THE EXORCIST and POLTERGIEST, in which members of the cast and crew suffer unexplainable injuries and sometimes even death. While thankfully no one has died, 11-11-11 writer/director Darren Lynn Bousman updates his excellent blog with details on some of the mysterious happenings on set – which is an actual old house.
“The more of these blogs I write, the more I begin to question my own sanity for writing them. I am at a point now where I am beginning to censor myself, because I feel that no one will believe the words I am writing,” he writes. “I, personally, have yet to see anything ‘unexplainable,’ but we have had some very upsetting injuries.”
He goes on to reveal that the film’s Second AD fell and broke his ankle, the script supervisor had to go to the hospital due to an illness, a prop master was struck in the head by a falling light, and Bousman’s father became violently ill upon visiting the set. The coolest story comes from a producer who, while visiting the set, came across a mysterious scroll hidden in a hole in the wall – the contents of which remain unknown.
