The lovely Miss Evangeline Lilly has been out and about promoting THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES, and in an interview with CNN was asked about her Hope Van Dyne role in Marvel's ANT-MAN.
She is the daughter of the founders of The Avengers, Ant-Man and the Wasp. She is a very talented, intelligent, capable woman and a force to be reckoned with. This one is very much a heist film. It has all the fun, tension and drama of a good heist film. The heist is being masterminded by myself, my father and Scott Lang.

While we already know ANT-MAN will be a heist movie, it didn't sound like Evangeline Lilly's character would be involved with the heist, based on the official synopsis for the upcoming film. What's interesting though is her mentioning The Wasp as her mother. Many believe Lilly's Hope Van Dyne will become the superheroine in ANT-MAN (or in a future Marvel flick), however it's been rumored the movie will have flashbacks featuring a young Hank Pym, so maybe a young Janet Van Dyne will also appear in the film. Of course Evangeline Lilly might just be talking about the characters’ comic book origins, but I think there's a good chance ANT-MAN will have at least one version of The Wasp.
ANT-MAN will be in theaters on July 17, 2015.
